Wisconsin takes on rival Ohio State on Saturday afternoon in the WCHA Final Faceoff, Championship. The Badges needed overtime to get there as they slipped by No. 3 Minnesota 5-4 in the semifinals. Lacey Eden gave the Badgers the win as she scored 7:59 into overtime. WCHA player of the year Kirsten Simms scored twice for the Badgers to help send the game to overtime where Eden became the hero. The Badgers now get rival Ohio State in the championship game. The Badgers lost three of four games to the Buckeyes this year, but won the last meeting 4-2 on February 24th.

The Buckeyes will look to shake off that loss and continue their dominance over the Badgers and get the WCHA title.

The Buckeyes come into Saturday on a three-game winning streak and 32-3 on the season.

The Buckeyes have been dominant in the tournament as they whipped Bemidji State 10-1 and 8-0 in the quarterfinals and then beat Minnesota Duluth 5-0 in the semifinals. 

They have gotten great goaltending and a ton of offense to make it to the finals, but they will get a huge test against the No. 2 Badgers on Saturday afternoon in the finals.
